one of the achievements of BIO TECHNOLOGY using DNA is cloning. it is of 2 types
1.molecular cloning
2.animal cloning
now we ll see about animal cloning.the steps involved in cloning are
1.isolation of a haploid cell ie an egg cell. it is ennucleated ie its
nucleus is removed
2.then isolation of a somatic cell ie a cell from any part of the body
is also ennucleated and its nucleus is inserted into the ennucleated
haploid
now the fusion product is kept in a surrogate mother and a clone is formed
man and chimpansees have 95% similarity in DNA sequences and 99% in
the exons of the DNA genes
thus by using the above method of biotechnology involving the DNA
genes HUMANZEE is created. it is also called CHUMAN OR MANPANZEE
similarly potato and tomato are biotechnologised to form POMATO and
tiger and lion genetically engineered to make TIGON
with the advent of biotechnology and dna , many unbelievable events are occuring in the world..

I just saw Nova on PBS a few nights ago, where the debate between Intelligent Design and Darwin's Theory of Evolution were debated. I believe that it is a recurring series. Well worth watching.
ReplyDeleteI watched the documentary with the alleged Humanzee. Too bad it was really just a weird looking monkey. When are they gonna make a real one? They need to get on that.
